Baja Californian Marco Villalobos passed away

SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic, December 1, 2017 – NORCECA Confederation regrets to inform the tragic news of the death of our distinguished friend and collaborator Marco Antonio Villalobos Zonta of Baja California, Mexico occurred on Thursday.

Marco was hit a taxi cab on Diaz Ordaz Boulevard on the morning of November 30, announced the Institute of Sports and Physical Culture of Baja California in Tijuana.

Villalobos was a member of several organizing committees of international competitions held in Baja California since 2001 as a close friend and assistant of Saul Castro Verdugo, general director of the institute, including Volleyball Pan American Cups and age group FIVB World Championships.

The affable Marco built close relationships with many volleyball officials who had the chance to participate in those competitions. He is survived by his wife Patricia Ramirez Llano and their sons Jose Marco and Antonio Patricio.

He will be sorely missed!
