Basic Course for Coaches held in Santiago

SANTIAGO, Dominican Republic, January 31, 2017 – The NORCECA-FIVB Regional Volleyball Development Center in Dominican Republic organized a provincial basic course for coaches in collaboration with the Volleyball Association of Santiago.

More than 50 coaches from Santiago, the second largest province of the Dominican Republic and other municipalities, took part in the course.

Dominicans Wilson Sanchez and Hector Romero, who both are Coaches Level III, were the instructors selected for this course.

Sanchez is member of the technical staff of the Dominican Republic Women’s National Team, and Romero is a former player of the men’s team who currently works for the female program of the Dominican Federation.

Nelson Ramirez, director of the Regional Development Center, presented the certificates of participation during the closing ceremony, and Jose Aybar, president of the local association expressed his satisfaction for the success of the course and the large number of participants.
