MANAGUA, Nicaragua, December 13, 2015 – Belize left the
tournament with a 3-0 (25-17, 25-21, 25-23) over Nicaragua in
the closing match of the XVI Women’s U20 Central American
Championship at Polideportivo España.
Belize finished the tournament in fifth place with a 2-4 record
while the home team ended with a 1-5 mark.
The girls from Belize outscored their rivals in attacks (31-21)
and blocks (6-1). Both teams scored four points with their
serves. Belize got 34 points from the Nicaraguan errors and gave
away 35.
The top scorer of the match was Belize’s Mya Musa with 12
points, followed by Kevanna Sebastian and Kori Diego who each
had 10 points. Nicaragua’s Ditzy Ortiz and Dalia Conto each
finished with 7 points. |
