Bermuda’s Head Coach- Gary LeBlanc, whilst accepting his
team’s second victory as a plus to their moral, acknowledged
that the key is the semi-finals.
“Now the real Volleyball starts… All the teams have figured
each other out, and hopefully if we play the game we came to
play, we will come out with a win in the semi –finals”, he
proffered.
Looking back at his team’s three matches, LeBlanc reasoned,
“Overall, we didn’t know what we were getting ourselves into,
so in the first match, we learned something about ourselves;
the second match we tried to fix what we learned in the
first match, then we tried to execute and fine tune in the
third match”.
Fast forwarding to Bermuda’s next match, team captain
-Ashley Horseman stated, “We just have to continue to play
the game we know how to play and minimise our errors and
really put forth our best in the semi-final”.
And, having lost all three matches, Saba’s Vice – Captain-
Vernisha Robinson assessed their participation as a
“learning experience”.
“ We are satisfied with what we have done so far, even
though we think we could have done better at times”,
Robinson mentioned
Match six, the final of the preliminary round, features
Antigua and Barbuda versus St Lucia.
