Bethania De la Cruz adds another crown in Russia
SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic, April 30, 2017 – Dominican
Bethania De la Cruz has added another gem to her long chain of
success as her Dinamo Moscow was crowned champions of the
Russian Women’s Volleyball Super League on Saturday night.
The 29-year-old wing spiker De la Cruz joined opposite Nataliya
Goncharova and Yana Shcherban as steady offensive contributors
to help Dinamo Moscow to its second straight title and fifth in
the history of the league.
De la Cruz also has won titles with Criollas of Caguas in Puerto
Rico, Toray Arrows in Japan, GS Caltex in South Korea and
Eczacibasi Vitra in Turkey.
Dinamo Moscow defeated Dinamo Kazan 3-1 (27-25, 14-25, 30-28,
25-21) on Saturday night one day after scoring a huge comeback
win 3-2 (21-25, 20-25, 25-21, 25-18, 18-16).
The two teams split the first two matches of the final series
with Kazan first winning 3-0 (25-18, 25-19, 25-18) and Moscow
responding with a 3-0 (25-20, 25-17, 25-20) victory. |
