Bethania de la Cruz elected MVP of NORCECA Tokyo 2020

SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic, January 12, 2020 – Players from the host Dominican Republic Team received all but one of the plaques during the closing ceremony of the NORCECA Women’s Volleyball Qualification Tournament Tokyo 2020 won by the home side.

The awards were granted based on the statistics ranking provided by the Volleyball Information System (VIS) according to regulations.

Bethania de la Cruz, the best server and best spiker was also selected as the Most Valuable Player, was one of the two players with three awards with Brenda Castillo the other as best digger, best receiver and best libero.

Brayelin Martínez was recognized as best scorer and second best spiker, while her sister Jineiry followed teammate Lisvel Eve as second and first middle blockers, respectively.

Niverka Marte received her plaque a best setter and Mexican Andrea Rangel was the best opposite spiker.
