TEPIC, Nayarit, July 13, 2022 - Blanca García,
legend of Mexican volleyball and born in Tepic,
is an honored guest at the Men’s NORCECA Final
Six Pan American Cup that started on Monday in
her pnative city.
Garcia has a distinguished trajectory as a
former member of Mexico’s national volleyball
team that competed in the Olympic Games of
Mexico 1968 and winning the silver medal of the
XII Central American and Caribbean Games of 1974
in Santo Domingo.
Blanca Garcia is an honored guest in her own
city that for second time is hosting an
international volleyball event of great
relevance, in 2015 they hosted the FIVB World
League, “it brings me joy that the fans of
Nayarit can experience a high leveled
competition like this” she indicated.
NORCECA President Cristóbal Marte Hoffiz had the
opportunity to greet her while she visited the
first day of the event, “Blanca Garcia honors us
with her presence, we are proud of her
achievements as an athlete and representing
Mexican volleyball so highly”.
“It is satisfying to have represented my country
and now I continue to do so but from another
perspective while helping to promote volleyball”
expressed Blanca Garcia.
