TIJUANA, Mexico, May 2, 2016 - The Board of Administration and
Executive Committee Meetings of the North, Central American and
Caribbean Volleyball Confederation (NORCECA) at the Grand Hotel
Tijuana.
For three days the Confederation members analyzed calendars and
working plans in both indoor and beach volleyball.
“We are very glad and satisfied for the Word done here. Mexico
and Baja California are like our home and the decisions and
agreements that we took here have been very important in the
goals of our confederation,” said Norceca President and FIVB
First Executive Vice President, Cristobal Marte Hoffiz.
Marte Hoffiz also remarked that the entity prepares in a very
important cycle like the one that closes with the Olympic Games
of Rio 2016. Norceca also wants to be ready for the FIVB World
Congress that will take place in Argentina.
The Presidents of the different commissions presented their
activities and proposals reports after the meetings that took
part earlier this year in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.
Among the commissions that presented their reports there were:
the Legal Commission, Medical Commission, Coaches, Refereeing,
Development, VIS, Press, Marketing, Sport Organization,
Financial and Beach Volleyball.
The presentations of two important events for this years like
the Senior Women’s Pan American Cup as well as the Women’s U23
Pan American Cup were also part of the topics.
The first one will be played in July in Dominican Republic,
while the second one is scheduled in September in Peru.
Meanwhile, the work done at the Regional Development Centers in
Santo Domingo and Tijuana was also part of the agenda. The work
done in both centers was evaluated successfully for their
results. The Board of Administration also confirmed the
programation of the Norceca Congress in Costa Rica in October
2017. |
