Brazil coach Jose Roberto Guimaraes:
"We are happy to win. We knew it would be a difficult match.
The Dominican Republic has played well in the tournament.
Their level gets better with every international competition
they play in. Last night we had a five-set match which was
tough. Tomorrow we will play Japan which has good defence."
Dominican Republic coach Marcos Kwiek:
"No one is happy with a result like this. It was an intense
game. I think my team is getting better, but we did make
mistakes in crucial moments. Tomorrow we will play the
United States which is an important NORCECA rival.
We will prepare for the match."
