Brazilian LaisVasques elected MVP at U-18 Pan Am Cup
GUATEMALA CITY, Guatemala, May 4, 2013. -LaisVasques was named
the Most Valuable Player of the U-18 Girls Pan American Cup that
concluded on Saturday at Teodoro Palacios Flores Gymnasium in
Guatemala.
LaisVasques was also awarded the trophy as the Best Digger and
Best Libero of the tournament during the closing ceremony
chaired by Cristobal MarteHoffiz, President of NORCECA and First
Executive Vice President of FIVB.
Also from Brazil, Laiza Ferreira received the award for Best
Blocker.
From Puerto Rico, captain Wilmarie Rivera was honored as Best
Setter and Okiana Valle as Best Receiver.
Chile took home three individual awards, Catalina Melo the Best
Scorer y Laura as the Best Spiker and the Best Server.
