Brewster/Friend Repeat Title in the NORCECA Beach Tour in Managua

MANAGUA, Nicaragua, June 16, 2024.- Timothy Brewster and Kyle Friend (USA) claimed the gold medal defeating Rouzbeh Rahnavard and Tynan Gannett (CAN) 2-0 (21-19, 22-20) in the fourth stage of the NORCECA Beach Volleyball Tour held in Managua.

Brewster and Friend won their second title at this venue, and for Friend, it marked his farewell from the NORCECA Tour, leaving Brewster with a new partner for the upcoming tour stops. “I ended my journey well; I feel satisfied. This will be my last tour. Tim will continue on the tour, but I'm saying goodbye, and winning the final is a fantastic way to go out”,  said Kyle.

Brewster added, "We came back here with a lot of confidence after a year (they won in 2022), and we were very excited to return to Managua and secure the title again”.

Meanwhile, Diego Perez and Ryan Ierna (USA) captured the bronze medal by winning 2-1 (26-28, 21-18, 15-10) against Ruben Mora and Danny López (NCA). After a tightly contested first set won by the home team, Perez and Ierna bounced back to win the next two sets.
