Briggs-Romine Latest To Earn MLV Weekly Honors

January 27, 2026.- Fresh off the strongest performance of her three-year professional career, outside hitter Paige Briggs-Romine of the Grand Rapids Rise has been selected as the Major League Volleyball Player of the Week presented by Franklin Sports.

 The native of Ortonville, Mich. led the Rise to victory in their only match of the week, a 3-1 win at San Diego on Friday. She had career highs in points (23) and kills (22), while hitting .327. Briggs-Romine led the team with 18 digs (4.5 per set) and was outstanding in serve receive, recording 28 receptions with just one error (86% positive, 46% perfect), while adding one service ace.

On the season, Briggs-Romine leads Grand Rapids in points (66) and kills (55), ranks second in digs (54) and sits third on the team in blocks (9).
