Bulgaria takes advantage of Canada’s errors

QUEZON CITY, Philippines, June 17, 2022- Bulgaria blanked Canada 3-0 (26-24, 25-22, 25-21) in a women’s volleyball match of the FIVB Nations League on Friday.

The Canadian team was the victim of their own mistakes as they committed 16 unforced errors to only 9 by the Bulgarian side.

The winners held a 50-45 advantage in attacks and a slight margin of 7-6 in blocks. The losers had the upper hand in serves 7-3.

Maria Yordanova and Miroslava Paskova led the winners with 16 and 14 points, respectively, while Silvana Chausheva and Nasya Dimitrova added 12 and 11.

Canada’s Kiera Van Ryk led all the players in the match with 20 points in the losing effort. Emily Maglio added 13 and Alexa Gray had 10.
