Bynoe and Volleyball capture top awards in Barbados
BRIDGETOWN, Barbados, January 7, 2019 - It was a proud
moment for the Barbados Volleyball Association when
President Kenmore Bynoe led a number of its members in
capturing top awards when the National Sports Council held
its annual awards at the Wildey Gymnasium on Saturday night.
President Bynoe who works with the leading print media as a
photo-journalist as well as provides daily voice reports on
volleyball for the Government-owned Caribbean Broadcasting
Corporation (CBC) was chosen as the top Sports Journalist
for 2019.
That proved to be an early present for Bynoe who will
celebrate another birthday on January 10.
Also in winners’ row were the Junior Volleyball Team that
won the Cazova Youth Boys and the Cazova Junior Boys’ and
Girls’ titles. Youth Captain Che Taylor and Coach Elwyn
Oxley received the award.
Cazova Youth MVPs Tenielle Chapman-Goodluck and Dimitri
Holder were also honoured with Emerging Athlete Awards.
