Canada led in all departments: attacks 30-16, blocks 13-6, serves 8-4.

Matthew Krueger, Canada coach: “I think we played clean volleyball today and followed the game plan very well, Trinidad Tobago added new players who arrived and played good volleyball, at times, they were able to neutralize our offense, but we found new ways to score. I'm proud of my team, which, instead of slowing down, is increasing the pace of play in the tournament.”

Deon Hutchinson, Trinidad Tobago coach: “Today was the first day we played with the full team since there were players who hadn't made it to the country, but I think we performed well against Canada, showing our potential and that we can compete at this level.”
