Canada Looks Strong Heading into Saskatoon

SASKATOON, Canada, June 22, 2016 - Coming off three wins this past weekend, the Canadian men’s team now heads to Saskatoon for its next three FIVB World League matches.

“The team is looking forward to playing at home after being on the road in Japan, for the Olympic Qualifier, and opening World League in the Czech Republic this past weekend,” said Canada’s head coach Glenn Hoag. “Saskatoon will do a great job hosting World League and I’m sure there will be some exciting matches.”

Canada, ranked 10th in the world, will face Korea (23rd ranked) on Friday event, China (19th ranked) on Saturday afternoon (1:30 pm local time) and will close out the weekend against Portugal (30th ranked) on Sunday.

The China vs Canada match will televised live on CBC. Earlier this month, Canada helped eliminate China from Olympic contention.
