COLUMBUS, Ohio, July 7, 2026. – Canada battled back from a 2-1

the Covelli Center in Columbus, Ohio.

Matthew Krueger, head coach of Canada: "I thought we started the
match very well, but Mexico made some adjustments that forced us
to raise our level. We committed too many unforced errors at
critical moments. Full credit to Mexico for playing a tremendous
match. We'll learn from this experience and move forward."
Eduardo Murguía, head coach of Mexico: "We have mixed feelings.
We were testing some adjustments to our starting lineup, but
Canada stayed composed in the key moments and came back several
times. We had opportunities to close out the match in both the
fourth and fifth sets, but we couldn't finish it. It's only the
beginning, and we'll make the necessary adjustments moving
forward."
