Chris Voth, Canada’s head coach, said: “We came out a little
tentative. Mexico was playing really well and we had to step up and
match that intensity. It was great that we were able to step up to
the plate and come back in the first set especially. I hope we can
have a better start tomorrow. It’s a really great environment and we
appreciate all the support.”
Canadian setter Grant Hill, who is from Calgary, is looking forward
to playing with Team Canada in front of friends and family. “It’s
super exciting and it’s going to be loud tomorrow. I’ve got a lot of
family coming and it’s special because it’s with Team Canada,” said
Hill.
“I think our team has played well, today we were a little
inconsistent, but we’re pumped for the match tomorrow.” |
