RIMINI, Italy, May 29, 2021 – Canada
defeated Argentina and United States lost to
Brazil in the second day of actions at the FIVB
Men’s Volleyball Nations League con Saturday.
The Canadians rolled over the
Argentineans in straight sets 3-0 (25-17, 25-21,
25-17) while the Brazilians dispatched the
Americans also 3-0 (25-22, 25-23, 25-19).
Joseph Sclater and John Gordon Perrin
were the top Canadian offensive weapons with 14
and 12 points, respectively. Facundo Conte led
Argentina with 8 points.
Cuban-born Yoandy Leal had 13 points for
Brazil while Alan Souza and Ricardo Lucarelli
Souza contributed 12 points apiece in the
Brazilian triumph.
Benjamin Patch had a match-high 18 points
for the United States and Torey Defalco finished
with 10. |
