produced a 3-0 (25-21, 25-21, 25-17) shutout of
Cuba on Wednesday’s last competition day in Pool
H of the FIVB Volleyball U21 Men’s World
Championship in Sofia.
Sam Cooper was the best scorer for Canada with
12 points while Christopher Byam and Cole
Ketrzynski added 8 and 7.
Victor Andreu led Cuba with 10 points, followed
by José Miguel Gutiérrez and Alexei Ramírez with
9 and 7, respectively.
While the Cubans led 9-6 in the blocking
category, they hurt themselves by committing 32
unforced errors compared to 22 by the Canadians. |
