October 1, 2022.- The Canadian team got its
second victory in this Women's Volleyball World
Championship at the hands of the team from
Germany.
After losing
the first two sets, the Canadian team was able
to recover to defeat the German team 3-2 (12-25,
24-26, 25-23, 25-18, 15-9) and thus put their
record at 2-3 in the World Cup.
The Canadians
outperformed in attacks (63-61) and in services
(6-4) while in blocks both teams had a total of
9.
For Canada
Alexa Gray contributed 25 points, Kiera Van Ryk
19 and Hilary Howe 12. For Germany Lina Alsmeier
and Hanna Orthmann added 16 points per head. |
