RIMINI, Italy, June 12, 2021 – Canada defeated
Serbia 3-1 (25-21, 22-25, 25-21, 25-18) in the
fourth round of the FIVB Women’s Volleyball
Nations League.
The Canadians held a wide advantage in attacks
59-48 and also led in blocks (12-9) and aces
(8-6). However, the winners made 22 unforced
errors to 18 by the Serbians.
Once again Kiera Van Ryk led the Canadians with
21 points, followed by Emily Maglio and Hilary
Howe with 17 points apiece and Andrea Mitrovic
with 15.
Jovana Mirosavljevic was the best scorer of
Serbia with 17 followed by Sara Lozo and Sara
Caric with 16 and 15 points, respectively. |
