Canada’s Head Coach Chris Voth said post-match: “It was difficult today, as this was our first match of the summer, and so there’s still a lot of uncertainties with the team. But it was really great to get everyone in and get the feeling of playing their first match today. And I hope we can keep building throughout the whole tournament. For sure I would like to see the consistency improve and we’ll hopefully see that tomorrow.”

Canada plays Puerto Rico next on August 06.
