Brittney Page, captain of Canada said it was a good experience
to play in Peru “especially having to play with that crowd
against you. We knew they were going to battle for every ball
and in the third ser we were a little bit pressed with the score
pretty even. We have to put all our concentration power in work
to win the match.”
Arnd Ludwig, the coach of Canada said: “Peru is a team with good
passing and we had to press with our serves and that we did very
well so I am proud of my team.”
Clarivett Yllescas, captain of Peru said her team was victim of
lack of attitude after trailing in the score and couldn’t
recover.”
“Canada is a very quick team with a lot of experience and since
the beginning they used their blocking against our main
attackers Angela and Maguilaura. We know we made many errors and
tomorrow against Brazil we need to have a strong attitude and
decision.”
Brazilian Mauro Marasciulo, coach of Peru: “We knew about the
difficulties we were going to face. This is a very young team
and you have to be patient. The team is coming from an important
qualification and you have to learn dealing with good and bad
moments. There is a lot of room to grow.” |
