Canada sweeps Poland

RIMINI, Italy, June 4, 2021 – Canada claimed its second victory against three loses at the FIVB Men’s Volleyball Nations League following a 3-0 (28-26, 25-23, 25-16) win over Bulgaria on Friday.

The Canadians outscored the Bulgarians in blocks (10-4) and serving aces (7-4). The North Americans held a slight advantage in attacks 41-39.

Nicholas Hoag led Canada with 16 points followed by Arthur Szwarc with 14. Sharone Vernon-Evans and John Gordon Perrin added 12 and 11, respectively.

Tsvetan Sokolov was the best scorer of the match with 23 points in the losing cause.
