RIMINI, Italy, June 17, 2021 – Canada swept
Japan 3-0 (25-22, 25-23, 25-18) in a men’s
volleyball match of the FIVB Nations League.
The Canadians outplayed their opponents at the
net and from the service line, building up
advantages of 6-2 in blocks and 7-1 in aces.
Both teams made 18 unforced errors while the
winners led in attacks 44-42.
Joseph Sclater led Canada with 16 points, John
Gordon-Perrin added 14, and Timothy Maar and
Arthur Szwarc each chartered 11 points for
Canada.
Yuki Ishikawa and Kunihiro Shimizu finished with
12 and 11 points, respectively, for Japan. |
