RIMINI, Italy, June 2, 2021 – Canada defeated
Germany in straights sets 3-0 (30-28, 27-25,
25-14) for its second victory in six outings at
the FIVB Women’s Volleyball Nations League on
Tuesday.
It was a close battle during the first two sets,
but in the third the Canadians took a commanding
lead and never looked back.
Kiera Van Ryk once again topped the Canadian
scoring with 18 points, followed by Jennifer
Cross and Emily Maglio with 12 and 8 points,
respectively.
Ivana Vanjak was the best for Germany with 16
points, followed by Hanna Orthmann with 8.
Both teams scored with 7 blocks and Canada
bested their opponents 6-3 in aces and 44-40 in
attacks. |
