Cangrejeras Claim Seventeenth Straight Victory

PONCE, Puerto Rico, March 10, 2026. – Week nine of action in the Women’s Volleyball Superior League (LVSF) opened with the seventeenth consecutive victory for the Cangrejeras de Santurce, who remained undefeated after sweeping the Leonas de Ponce 3-0 (25-19, 25-15, 25-15) at Salvador Dijols Court.

With the win, the Cangrejeras collected the three available points to continue as the undisputed leaders of the tournament with a 17-0 record and 48 accumulated points.

Santurce’s offense was shared by Helena Grozer and Tamara Otene with 12 and 10 points, respectively.

Santurce dominated Ponce 32-24 in attacks and 16-6 in blocks, while both teams recorded four service aces. The Leonas held the edge in digs (47-46), receptions (34-18), and assists (16-10).

For the Leonas of Ponce, who earned no points and now hold a 6-11 record with 19 points in fifth place, American player Jordan Wilson led the offense with 10 points.

Action in this ninth week continues Wednesday, March 11, when the Valencianas de Juncos visit the Pinkin de Corozal at Carmen Z. Figueroa Court starting at 8:00 p.m.
