Carolina to host big volleyball events in Puerto Rico
Carolina, Puerto Rico, June 17, 2014 – The city of Carolina,
nearby the capital San Juan, is becoming a favourite site for
international volleyball events in Puerto Rico as two big events
have been announced to take place next July.
The revamped Guillermo Angulo Coliseum will host the NORCECA
Men’s Final Playoff towards the FIVB World Championship from
July 16-19 with squads hailing from Dominican Republic, Costa
Rica, Guatemala and Puerto Rico preparing to battle for the last
spot available to the 24-team competition in several cities of
Poland.
The four teams finished in second place at the third-round

States and Puerto Rico last month.

its Major Jose Carlos Aponte Dalmau to organize volleyball
events in Puerto Rico,” Nelson Perez Cruz, president of the
National Federation announced on Monday. “The popularity of
volleyball in Carolina guarantees sold out crowds every day as
it has been in the past.”
