Vicente Mardones, captain of Chile:
“We didn't want to play for this position, we’re
leaving with a victory but not satisfied, we
were eager for a lot more. It was a good
experience, a nice tournament and we learned a
lot for our future; we must work more”.
Daniel Nejamkin, head coach of Chile:
“Today we had a good match, with good
performances from Mardones, Ibarra and Yordan,
also Lucas Lavin, a libero who secured a place
in Chile’s senior team. My conclusion of the
tournament, we played badly against Mexico, well
against Brazil and yesterday we handed out the
match to Dominican Republic after playing well”.
.
Daniel Ralon, setter of Guatemala:
“In the first set against Chile we had more
energy, in good physical condition. We are a
very young team, only one player is U23 and this
tournament was to gain experience. We would have
wanted to give a better performance but we did
well”.
Reider Lucas, head coach of Guatemala:
“We had possibilities of winning several sets,
but in general it was a hard tournament for us.
This competition gave us a lot of experience, it
had quality and a good level, but we gave a good
impression. We must continue working to improve
and it was a positive experience, the team faced
professional players”.
