China completes perfect march at home

SHENZHOU, China, July 5, 2014 – China defeated Thailand to complete a perfect run through the two tournaments of the 2014 Chinese Women’s Volleyball Masters on Saturday.

China won 25-19, 31-29, 25-20 to finish with a 3-0 win-loss mark. The home team previously scored victories over Dominican Republic 3-0 (25-13, 25-16, 25-12) and Belgium 3-1 (22-25, 25-12, 25-14, 25-19).

In the other match on Saturday, Belgium celebrated with style as the Yellow Tigers defeated Dominican Republic.

Belgium claimed a close victory 25-23, 25-23, 25-19 to finish the tournament with a 2-1 win-loss record. The losers finished winless in their three outings.

Once again Lise Van Hecke and Bethania De la Cruz fought the battle at the net with the Belgian coming out with the top hand.
