Clio Phillip wins ECVA’s Under-20 Females MVP Award
ST. JOHN’s, Antigua
and Barbuda, August 25, 2019 - St Lucia’s Clio Phillip
copped the award of Most Valuable Player (MVP) in the
Eastern Caribbean Volleyball Association (ECVA) Under-20
Females Volleyball Tournament, which took place at the YMCA
Sporting Complex.
Phillip, an Outside
Hitter ended the tournament with a success rate of 24.392.
She had 30 Spikes, 3 Blocks and 23 Serves.
In addition,
Phillip also collected the trophy as one of two Best Outside
Hitters. The other recipient was Daniella Stegman of
Bermuda.
Also taking double
awards was Antigua and Barbuda’s Nia Benjamin, who was the
Best Libero and Best Digger.
Antigua and
Barbuda’s Nashea Browne was the Best Opposite Hitter and her
teammate- Jah- Liesha Knowles, one of two Best Middle
Blockers.
The other Best
Middle Blocker was Amber Simons of Bermuda.
Also rewarded from
the Bermuda team were Ashley Horseman- Best Setter and
Cailey Longworth- Best Receiver. And, St Lucia’s Hayle
Mondesir was the Best Server.
