Coaches Course Level I concludes in Costa Rica

 

SAN JOSE, Costa Rica, September 28, 2013 – The International Level I Coaches Course in San Jose, Costa Rica successfully concluded on Saturday with the presentation of certificates to 34 participants.

 

Jose Luis Jimenez and Marcela Urbina, president and vice president, respectively, of the Costa Rican National Volleyball Federation, attended the ceremony.

 

Also in attendance were Jorge Perez Vento and Juan Cartagena as director and instructor of the course, respectively, as well as Gabriela Azofeifa and Claudio Picado of the Costa Rican Sport Institute, and Yohanna Mota, Vice Director of the Development Center in Dominican Republic, that coordinated the course.

 

“I feel very proud with the number of participants from Costa Rica and the overall participation of people from Central American countries,” Jimenez said. “These courses definitely will impact the further development of volleyball and beach volleyball in our zone.”

 

The course included practical and theoretical classes of volleyball as well as a beach volleyball clinic under the direction of Ingrid Morales.

 

Kareem Richards, Marcela Esquivel and Mario Romero, all from Costa Rica, received special recognition as the most outstanding participants with the highest scores.

 

It was the second activity the Development Center in Dominican Republic held in Costa Rica with the first one an International Seminar for Setters in 2012.
