Maria Marin, captain of Colombia, said: “I am happy with today’s
victory. I think Colombia played more relaxed today after two
very pressing matches against United States and Argentina. Now
we have to continue working for our remaining matches.”
Marcela Araya, captain of Costa Rica, said: “We are changing and
improving our game as we move on. In that process I noticed that
today we made many errors in key points, like in the second set,
but I am glad because the group is committed to move forward.”
Eduardo Guillaume, coach of Colombia: “I congratulate Costa Rica
because of the battle they presented in all the sets which made
the match pretty even. Tomorrow will be a key game for us to
determine if we finish third of fourth in the pool and see how
are the chances of qualifying to the Grand Prix. Every day is a
different game and we are confident of a victory.”
Braulio Godinez, coach of Costa Rica: “The girls are improving
in the game and above all the attitude was the key to keep
advancing in the second set. It was a shame we couldn’t win it
but that’s the game especially in these important tournaments
and of good quality.” |
