Colombia stops Peru for seventh place

LIMA, Peru, May 11, 2019 - Colombia defeated Peru 3-1 (14-25, 25-13, 27-25, 25-20) in the match for seventh place of the U21 Men’ Pan American Cup taking place at Manuel Bonilla Coliseum of MIraflores.

Colombia had a tournament-high 19 blocks, including five by Daniel Aponza who finished with nine tallies. Ronnie Mosquera and Leiner Aponza led the winners with 15 and 13 points, respectively.

Peru’s Sebastián Calvera led all the players in the game with 23 points in the losing effort. Maikel Jaramillo and Daniel Barbieri finished with 13 and 10 for Peru.
