Ciro Zoratti, head coach of Costa Rica: "The first match of a
tournament is always difficult because you don't know your
opponent, and some of our players were competing together for
the first time. We're satisfied with the result. I also want to
congratulate the U.S. Virgin Islands for playing a great match,
and now our focus is on tomorrow."
Raphael Isaac, head coach of the U.S. Virgin Islands: "We
started out nervous—beginnings are always difficult—but we
improved as the match went on. That's what I'm looking for
because these are very young players, between 16 and 18 years
old. If they continue to improve, we'll get where we want to
be."
