“everyone had beaten El Salvador and today they showed a
different attitude, they played to win and wanting to do things
different”. About his team he said “we performed poorly, there

aggressive than we were. On occasions we performed to their
rhythm and thinking ahead in the tournament we must examine how
to correct and change our attitude”.
Diego Ascencio “el Chino” captain of El Salvador said “we played
with a lot of energy; after yesterday’s match against Guatemala
we were motivated to perform stronger. We followed our coaches’

Traditionally we have respected Costa Rica and Guatemala too
much, we must face the man and not the name, that’s what my boys
did today; the showed that they can play as equals. Our blocking
worked well, we had less service errors and we improved our
reception”. |
