Acuña said that "we wanted to win this game in three sets to not have complications in the last game. We rotated the team because some players were not performing to the maximum and had to give the opportunity to others. I am half satisfied by the team's actions, although there are factors like heat or fatigue."

Alejandro Castillo, coach of Honduras, said that "I think there is too much fatigue in the boys. We still have a big game this afternoon to try and secure a medal, so we will try to lift the mood and play a good role in that next game."
