Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Nicaragua

and Mexico to Contest Men's Semifinals

ROATÁN, Honduras, July 11, 2026. – Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic, Nicaragua, and Mexico will compete in the men's semifinals on Sunday at the Seventh Stop of the NORCECA Beach Volleyball Tour, taking place at Tabyana Beach in Roatán. Mexico's Lares Vargas and Carlos Andrés Ayala will be aiming to capture their fifth gold medal of the season and deliver Mexico its sixth title of the 2026 campaign.

The semifinals will begin at 10:00 a.m., with Hayerling De Jesús and Oscar José Martínez of the Dominican Republic taking on Costa Rica's Julián Araya and Stanley Grant. In the other semifinal, Nicaragua's Rubén Mora and Jefferson Cascante will face Mexico's Lares Vargas and Carlos Andrés Ayala.

Lares/Carlos Andrés arrive in Roatán seeking their fifth gold medal of the season and Mexico's sixth title on the 2026 NORCECA Tour. The Mexican duo has already claimed victories at the second stop in Juan Dolio, the fourth stop in Tamaulipas, the fifth stop in El Salvador, and the sixth stop in Juan Dolio, making them the most successful team on the circuit this season.

In the quarterfinals, Hayerling De Jesús and Oscar José Martínez advanced convincingly with a 21-8, 21-12 victory over Guatemala's Maldonado and Izaguirre.

Meanwhile, Araya and Grant controlled the opening set against Puerto Rico's William and Daniel Rivera but had to battle in the second before securing a 21-13, 22-20 victory.

In another quarterfinal, Lares/Carlos Andrés continued their winning run by defeating Canada's Guillaume Rivest and Martin Licht 21-14, 21-16.

Mora and Cascante completed the semifinal lineup by overcoming the other Canadian duo  Louis Charbonneau and Henry Heider in straight sets, 22-20, 21-18.
