Courts in Bonaire are open for practice
BONAIRE, September 25, 2019 – Teams participating in the
inaugural Bonaire Beach Volleyball Tournament, the seventh
stage of the 2019 NORCECA Circuit, are scheduled to arrive
on Wednesday.
The agenda for Wednesday include practice sessions,
preliminary inspections of the teams and the playing
facilities as well as the general technical meeting.
Meanwhile, the local men’s teams already have had the chance
to practice until the sunset at Delfins Beach Resort where
the temporary courts have been set.
Nicaragua’s Ruben Mora, winner of the men’s segment in Punta
Cana two weeks ago with Denis Lopez as his partner, is back
in action this time with Dany López his regular teammate.
Mexico’s Zaira Orellana and Martha Revuelta, winners of the
bronze medal in the event held in the Dominican Republic,
are among the favorites to win here.
Daymian Stewart of Trinidad & Tobago is the technical
director and NORCECA delegate for the competition.
Different to the regular NORCECA Beach events, the Bonaire
stage will take place from Thursday to Saturday, with teams
and officials leaving on Sunday.
