KINGSTON, Jamaica, July 12, 2021 – History was
made at the Electoral General Meeting of the
Jamaica Olympic Association (JOA) held on
Saturday, July 10, when the President of the
Jamaica Volleyball Association, Mrs. Jacqueline
Cowan, was elected as the 1st
Vice-President of the JOA, the first female to
hold the post.
Mrs. Cowan who is also the Secretary General of
CAZOVA and Board Member of NORCECA, stated that
she was honored to be elected and hopes that
other women put themselves forward to assume
leadership roles. |
