Cuba takes the men's gold at the fifth stop of the 2024 NORCECA Beach Tour

PUNTA CANA, Dominican Republic, October 4, 2024.- Cubans Damián Gómez and Kens Veranes defeated the Dominican Republic duo Hayerlin De Jesús/Rolvin Maldonado 2-0 (21-19, 21-19) this Friday to take the gold´s medal at the fifth stop of the 2024 NORCECA Beach Volleyball Tour held on the sand courts of Los Corales beach in Punta Cana.

The bronze medal went to the Canadian pair Tynan Gannett/Rouzbeh Rahnavard who defeated Garrett Bucklin/William Clements (ISV) 2-0 (21-12, 21-11).

Fifth place went to Lev Priima/David Wieczorek (USA) who defeated Josue Meneses/Dany López (NCA) 2-1 (16-21, 21-12, 15-10), while seventh place went to Martin Licht/Robert Kemp (CAN) after beating the Cayman Islands duo Jesario Ebanks/Sean Tucker 2-0 (21-7, 21-12). In ninth place were the twins Yoel and Christopher Guardado (ESA) who defeated Benjamin Barnett/Sean Tucker (BER) 2-0 (21-8, 21-17), in eleventh place were Ryck Webb/Mark Blake of Jamaica, who dispatched Joel Theodore/Stephen Enile of Trinidad Tobago 2-0 (21-6, 21-19), while in thirteenth place was the Dominican duo of Melvin De Jesus/Alexander Wilmore, who defeated Jose Izaguirre/Mario Ventura of Guatemala 2-1 (21-17, 17-21, 15-11).
