Diaris Pérez, captain of Cuba: "Today we needed to win to
improve our position in the table, I think we did things well,
we were already playing well and we hope to improve further. We
have a young team, not because I'm the captain, I'm in charge,
but we all support each other and we're a team.
"
Claudia Hernandez, the best scorer of Cuba, said that "with the
support of the girls I had a good game, we always went out to
try to do the best. We thank the people of Chiclayo who have
treated us well since we arrived, they have shown us their
support ".
Leivis García, coach of Cuba: “Today came out and planted well
on the court, although there were many unforced errors,
especially at the beginning of the game, they failed many serves
and that is normal when you have a young team, start with
pressure and then develop. My respects for Mexico that has a
young team that touches the ball, they know where to position
themselves and they distribute the game very well ".
