Cuba with two women's teams in the semifinals

VARADERO, Cuba, May 11, 2019.- The two couples of Cuba, the top
pair from Canada and the second from the United States, advanced
to the semifinals of the fourth phase of the Norceca Beach
Volleyball Circuit, which will take place on Sunday in the sands
near the Hotel Barceló Solymar of this tourist destination.

The top-seeded Maylen Deliz-Leila Martinez (CUB-1) will face
their compatriots Yanisleidis Sanchez and Lidiannis Echeverria,
(10th seeded), marking the end of the undefeated
record for one of these pairs, who have not lost a single set in
this tournament after dominating their respective groups and the
				quarterfinals.

The other challenge to find a space in the grand final will have
Anna Dunn-Suen and Caleigh Cruickshank (CAN-1) separated by the
net against Falyn Fonoimoana and Nicolette Martin (USA-2), third
and sixth at the seeding, respectively.

Maylen and Leila, winners in the previous three stops, defeated
Caitlin Ledoux and Geena Urango (USA-1) 2-0 (21-17, 21-14) in
the quarterfinals to keep their high performance immaculate and
closing in to the possibility of setting a record consecutive
victories of this Circuit with four in case they climb to the
top of the podium in their own yard.

Their teammates of Cuba-2 Yanisleidis and Lidiannis showed that
they still battle to occupy the place of their country at the
Pan American Games in Lima by overwhelmingly beating Puerto
				Ricans Allanis Navas-María González 2-0 (21-16, 21 -10).

Between the third and fifth Canadians at the seeding,
respectively, the main duo of Anna Dunn-Suen and Caleigh
Cruickshank beat Devon May and Rian Lenarduzzi after a bitter
				duel that ended 2-1 (21-19, 19-21, 15 -13).

For their part, Falyn Fonoimoana and Nicolette Martin (USA-2),
bronze and silver in the two initial stops, crushed 2-0 (21-8,
21-10) the combative Kathya Vasquez and María Fernanda Vargas,
