Cuban service neutralized Chile
LIMA, Peru, May 10, 2019 - Cuba won in straight sets over
Chile (25-15; 25-17; 25-8) from the service area and will play
their second consecutive final at the Pan American Cup U21 Men's
Volleyball.
The duel lasted 1 hour and 17 minutes of action, time in which
the performance of the Cuban opposite José Romero stood out with
16 points; For Chile, his captain, Vicente Ibarra gave the fight
to get the maximum with seven points.
Cuba had 16 points in service, Chile only 2. Although the
winning team had an advantage in attack (37-20), it was overcome
in blocking (3-6). The team of Jesus Cruz scored through 19
mistakes of his rival, reducing their own to 12.
