Dates of NORCECA Congress in Costa Rica confirmed
SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic, June 11, 2017 – The XXIV
NORCECA Congress will take place in San Jose, Costa Rica on
October 28-29 it was confirmed on Sunday on the last day of the
Executive Committee and Board of Administration meeting.
Edgar Alvarado Ardon, president of the Costa Rican Volleyball
Federation and president of the Central American Volleyball
Federations Association (AFECAVOL) presented a report on the
organization of the biennial event.
Also, Arateide Caceres presented a report on the state of the
Central American and Caribbean Games to be held next year in
Barranquilla, Colombia with eight volleyball teams per gender
and twenty four pairs
per gender in beach volleyball.
Indhira Ramirez, director of the beach volleyball department
announced the updated calendar of events that includes two stops
in Ocho Rios, Jamaica and two others in Varadero, Cuba. The
NORCECA Circuit will consists of nine stages.
The presidents of the Refereeing, Medical, Marketing, Legal and
Statistics Commissions of NORCECA Confederation also presented
their annual report of activities during the third and last day
of meetings by the Executive Committee and Board of
Administration.
