Development Center recognized by Senator Cruz

SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic, March 14, 2018 – Senator Ruben Cruz, who represents province Hato Mayor in the Dominican Senate, presented a plaque of recognition to the NORCECA/FIVB Regional Development Center in Dominican Republic for its long work in favor of volleyball.

Cruz, who is a promoter of volleyball and beach volleyball activities in his province, annually organizes a double gender beach event during the Easter week period.

The Regional Development Center collaborates with technical and logistical assistance for the organization of the competition (schedules, times, awards, refereeing, etc).

“We are very pleased in accepting this recognition from Senator Cruz, who is a passionate follower of volleyball and beach volleyball,” said Nelson Ramirez, director of the center.

Ramírez was accompanied by Cristobal Marte Hoffiz, president of NORCECA, Ramon Garcia, president of the Dominican Volleyball Federation, and Emmanuel Trinidad, Vice Minister of Sports and Recreation.
