Dominican Madeline Guillen MVP at U23 Women’s Pan Am Cup

AGUASCALIENTES, Mexico, August 15, 2021. - Outside hitter Madeline Guillen was elected as the Most Valuable Player - MVP of the Women’s U23 Pan American Cup won for the fifth time by Dominican Republic.

The victory ceremony was conducted by NORCECA President Cristobal Marte Hoffiz, where Dominican Republic was crowned champion, Mexico silver medalist and Puerto Rico received the bronze medal.

Madeline Guillen also was granted other three awards, second best spiker, best server and best scorer, alongside teammate Sthefany González with the award for first best blocker.

From the silver medalists Mexico, Grecia Castro was awarded as first best spiker, Joseline Landeros as best receiver, Karen Rivera as best setter and Marian Ovalle as best opposite.

Guatemalan Laura Quiñonez was recognized as the best libero and best defense; and Natassia Baptiste of Trinidad and Tobago as best second blocker.
