Republic Dominates Antigua and Barbuda
at Pan American
Cup
LEÓN,
Guanajuato, August 30, 2025.- Dominican Republic cruised past
Antigua and Barbuda 3-0 (25-17, 25-9, 25-10) at the 18th Senior
Men’s Pan American Cup held at the Domo de la Feria in León,
Guanajuato.
The
Dominicans will play for ninth place against the winner of the match
between Guatemala and Suriname, while Antigua and Barbuda will
compete for eleventh place against the loser.
The Dominican
squad faced no trouble in securing the win, dominating in attacks
(38-20) and service points (5-0). Antigua and Barbuda held the edge
in blocking (5-3), but the Dominicans capitalized on 23 opponent
errors compared to their 10.
Dominican
team captain Héctor Alexis Cruz led all scorers with 11 points,
while Ronny Molina and Rafael Brugos added 10 points each in the
triumph.
Adrian
Constant topped Antigua and Barbuda’s offense with 10 points. |
