In a spectacular match, the Canadian team beat
The Queens of the Caribbean in the framework of
the Women's Volleyball World Championship.
In a match that went to the
maximum of five sets, Canada knew how to handle
the emotions to take the victory against the
Dominican team 3-2 (18-25, 25-23, 25-17, 25-27,
15-7) and thus finish this Phase 2 of the
Championship with a level record of 2-2.
The Canadians' attack was led by
Kiera Van Ryk who scored 24 points followed by
Alexa Gray with 17 and Emily Maglio with 13. For
Las Reinas Gaila González scored 28 and the
sisters Brayelin and Jineiry Martínez added 19
and 17 points respectively. |
